The training role

Rehearse the entry before anyone crosses the boundary.

Confined-space work places several decisions close together. Teams must understand the space, identify hazards, control entry conditions, verify equipment, maintain communication, and know when the entry can no longer continue safely.

Confined Space VRT lets learners move through that process without creating a real exposure. Scenarios can be built for awareness training, permit-entry roles, pre-entry planning, or a specific type of space and task.

A confined-space module can change conditions during the exercise so the learner must keep evaluating the entry instead of following a memorized path.

Inspect the area, review the permit, isolate hazards, confirm equipment, and establish communications.

Changing atmosphere

Interpret new readings and take the required action when acceptable entry conditions are lost.

Communication failure

Respond when contact between the entrant and attendant is interrupted or unclear.

Recognize the event, prevent an impulsive unauthorized entry, and activate the planned rescue response.

Confined Space VRT supplements a confined-space program. It does not authorize entry or replace site-specific hazard evaluation, permits, equipment training, medical requirements, supervised drills, or an effective rescue plan.
