The training role

Make work-area preparation part of the job.

Hot work can affect areas beyond the point where a tool or torch is operating. Sparks, heat transfer, fumes, nearby combustibles, openings, and simultaneous operations all influence whether the work can proceed safely.

Hot Work VRT gives workers, fire watches, and permit authorizers a repeatable way to inspect the area, identify concerns, select precautions, and respond when the planned conditions no longer exist.
